Bayelsa State Government has expressed concern over the menace of oil spills and gas flaring perpetrated by multinational oil companies during exploration, saying that the state encountered over 1,000 oil spills in 2014. The state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Kemeasuode Wodu, in a statement, weekend, in Yenagoa, lamented that none of the companies had deemed it worthy to address the situation.
