    Shakeup at Ghana Health Service: 8 Health Directors affected

    Eight regional directors of health services have been reposted in the latest shakeup at the Ghana Health Service , Starr News can confirm. The affected directors in the reshuffle include: Dr. Kofi Issah, who is moving from the Upper East region to Brong Ahafo; Dr. Timothy Letsa, reposted from Brong Ahafo to the Volta region; Dr. Joseph Teye Nuertey, transferred from Volta to the Upper West region and Dr. Winfred Ofosu, reassigned from the Upper West to the Upper East region.

    Ghana lost $3bn under Mahama over dumsor – Akufo-Addo

    President Nana Akufo-Addo has said Ghana lost about $3 billion in economic activities during the power crisis that hit the nation under the Mahama administration. Akufo-Addo who quoted figures from the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research said the country lost about GHc618 million in economic activity in 2014 alone which he said is "equivalent to 2 percent of GDP."

    Government to train requisite middle-level manpower to boost industrialization

    Ministry of Education is in the process to move all technical and vocational education and training institutions in the country under one umbrella-Technical and Vocational Training Service, a newly created agency to champion the revolution of TVET to a higher pedestal. Currently, there are over 200 technical and vocational training instructions spread across 15 different Ministries including the Employment and Labour Relations, Gender and Social Protection, Transport and Local Government and Rural Development.
